Best Wildlife Adventures

Tanzania has the best game reserves, teemed with countless wildlife, scenic vistas that span beyond vision and stretch to distant mountains. Safaris are exhilarating with a raft of stimuli and you will be amazed at how familiar you get with your surroundings.

Jaw-drop paradise-like beaches

Tanzania boasts some of the world-class beaches that are lapped by the turquoise azure waters of the Indian Ocean. You can choose to relax on soft white sands beneath swaying palm trees or go swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, or fishing.

Best Bird-Watching safaris

Keep your binoculars glued to your face! You are in one of the world’s top bird-watching destinations. In a variety of habitats, you can easily and comfortably observe hundreds of different species.

Multi-cultural country

Tanzania has distinct cultures and people almost everywhere you go, from the world’s most famous traditional, bead-bedecked pastoralist Maasai in the country’s northern tourist circuit to the exotic heady mix of Arab and African influences in the Zanzibar Islands, Tanzania is a must-visit country.

Tanzania can be visited at any time of the year but some months are just better than others. There are two rainy seasons; however, due to the impact of global warming, these rains are no longer consistent and overwhelming compared to when they once were. The short rainy season lasts from October to December, and the long rainy season lasts from late February through early May. The two rainy seasons represent the low season, while the dry seasons of the year represent the high or peak season for tourist activities.

Travelling to Tanzania during the rainy season has both advantages and disadvantages. However, while this is solely dependent on what destination you choose to visit, the major disadvantage of the low season is that the majority of the roads in remote places are impassable and the wildlife can be hard to locate. Some places can sometimes get chilly-cold during early morning and nighttime, but the daytime is relatively dry and sunny. Conversely, travelling to Tanzania during the rainy (low) season can provide you with the opportunity to take advantage of inexpensive flights, which in most cases you will typically have to work for them since you will need to fly-in through a connecting flight. This is also the best time for honeymooners and anti-social individuals who prefer being among fewer crowds.

Getting to Tanzania is relatively straightforward, with several options depending on your location:

By Air:

  1. International Flights: The primary international airports are Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) near Arusha. Both airports are well-connected with direct flights from major cities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

  2. Regional Flights: For those traveling from nearby African countries, regional carriers like Kenya Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and Precision Air offer frequent flights to Tanzania.

By Land:

  1. From Kenya: You can cross by road from Kenya via the Namanga or Taveta border posts. There are also bus services from Nairobi to Arusha or Moshi.

  2. From Zambia: The TAZARA Railway connects Zambia to Dar es Salaam, offering an adventurous overland journey.

By Sea:

  1. Ferry: Regular ferry services connect Dar es Salaam with Zanzibar, offering a scenic way to reach the island.

Once in Tanzania, domestic flights, buses, and car rentals are available to help you explore the country.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Ensuring Your Satisfaction!

Hanspeter Kaufmann

As a tour operator, bringing groups on safari in Tanzania for more than 30 years, I finally found the best company for both delux and camping safaris - thanks Impala DMC for your outstanding service!

Mariam Wahbi Hernandez

We had an amazing safari in Tarangire with Impala DMC. The driver was knowledgable of the terrain, animals, and park history. It was our second time on safari there but with Impala DMC it was so much better, we got to see so many more animals including tons of baby elephants and many more parts of the park we hadn’t seen before.

Ajay Aggarwal

We booked our safari with Impala DMC and we surprised at the true quality and professionalism of the staff especially our driver/guide James who had answers for all our questions and knew the Ngorongoro National Park like the back of his hand.
